I think there is a hugely vocal/growing group of lefties who are very far-left economically but reject Tumblr identitarianism/neoliberal Id politics. Honestly most left-leaning people in their early 20s I know fit more into this than the tumblr SJW stereotype. I disagree about lefties 'feeding the beast' because Breitbart et al actually lie all the time and they will take anything we do and spin it in a negative way.
