[Discussion] What hardships do your fandoms go through, in your opinion?

Brenny_17 r/kpop [Discussion] What hardships do your fandoms go through, in your opinion? Let's keep fandom wars out of this okay? We're all kpop fans here we don't need to hate! So no mentioning of any fandom wars what so ever. No matter how unjust or crazy, let's not stroke the flames and make it any worse.

For one, and I fear that I may forever have to bring this topic up as long as SM draws the situation out, Zhoumi and Henry are not acknowledged as full time members (only as Super Junior -M). I expect this of people outside of the fandom, because they don't know the full history behind this, but what bothers me is that actual "fans" that have been with SJ for years continue to think this way. Some have even written letters and petitions to have Zhoumi and Henry removed from the concerts and much worse...it's really disheartening.

I mean, how can we be Ever Lasting Friends when fans don't even like or care for all of the members?? I'm ashamed to admit that for a short period I had the same thoughts of not wanting to accept them (don't know why I became so defensive about having only 13 members), but after a couple days I came to my senses and realized how ridiculous I was being! How wonderfully, sweet, funny, and talented both members are! How I could've missed out on all of it had I continued to stay an unwilling clam. I wish that Only13 supporters could come to this tremendous conclusion as well, but until then, I'll keep screaming it until my throat is sore and I've lost my voice OT15 FOREVER!!

Second thing that bothers me is how people outside of the fandom keep going on about how SJ are "too old" to still be in the business. What does age have to do with an artist's ability to draw in the audience? The members are all very capable in their own individual areas, can't you focus on that instead?

That brings me to my third issue. A lot of other fandoms (namely immature kpop fans), keep going on about how the members should just disband already because they're no longer "relevant" or whatever... tell that to all the international fans they have all over the world to this day, all the concerts they've sold out for the past 10 years! It's all just so frustrating and makes my heart ache for Super Junior, but they've always received such hate since the beginning, especially after all their scandals in earlier years...Such things can't be helped I suppose, but it really becomes tiring after a while.

One last thing (because this post is already too long, sorry), other fandoms keep talking about how their new album 'Devil' (followed by the repackage 'Magic') didn't sale well and how little views they have. I just want to make this clear, their recent album was made with the intent to thank fans for supporting them for all these years. So, yeah, it's understandable that those outside of the fandom won't take immediate interest (or any at all), because really aside from the title songs 'Devil' and 'Magic', the music was not their usual get up and dance style. Also, like the members, fans have grown up, they're adults with families of their own not pre-teens or teens who have time on their hands to stream their oppas and vote on everything.

I have no hate towards any other fandoms, but I hope that we could all start to understand one another and respect each other's group preferences at the very least. Have a nice day everyone and fighting to all our hard working idols!! :D
