does anyone else think the fact the wraith beat the ancients makes no sense?

i mean at the point of sga, we know there are about 60 hives in the galaxy, a number so small that probably 2 aura's could wipe them out in a few years.

We know there's only 60 Hive ships now. We don't know how many there were before.

as the ancients would obviously jump in pick off a few ships and run away before taking losses, and they could stay in hyper space indefinitely unlike the wraith.

How is that obvious? The Ancients are extremely poor tacticians and let their arrogance keep them from making intelligent battle decisions.

active wraith need to feed every few months

Not if they're dead from being cannon fodder. Clone them and send them to die without ever needing to be fed.

given the strength of ancient shields it seems extremely unlikely that the wraith have the cabability to destroy a fleet of ancient warships before they can activate there hyper drives and retreat

Again, we don't know how many ships faced them and we know the Ancients were far too confident in their technology.
