If I could rewrite Scream 4 I would have had Trevor and Charlie be the killers. In the third act one of them would betray the other and then Jill would kill the remaining Ghostface. At the end of the movie there wouldn’t be things that quite add up like small details about the motive and stuff but nothing huge, just minor things.

In Scream 5 the killers would be obsessed fans, but the twist though is that in the next movie we would have found out that Jill was the mastermind behind it and had told Trevor to kill with Charlie and use him as the fall guy while also telling Charlie to do the same thing to Trevor. The fan would be recreating the movie like Richie with Sam being Billy’s daughter and Jill would be outed in the third act by them as a previous killer, perhaps them being true fans of her because they know of her true self. Then Jill would now have to get taken out by the survivors because they now know she was a previous Ghostface.
