Does Medicaid immediately cut off coverage?

Yeah, you should get a letter telling you when you're coverage ends with Medicaid. They check your information yearly and usually auto-renew your coverage but stuff varies by state and the situation. Mine was auto-renewed towards the end of February but I decided I didn't want Medicaid anymore so I requested to end it first week of March, it doesn't officially go off until the end of the month. That's how it works, no matter what time during the month cancellation is requested, it doesn't officially stop until the end of whatever month it's being cancelled. So if you're going off it at the end of the month that probably means you aren't covered next week being it'll be April. If you want to save money you'll probably have to reschedule those appointments.
