does sims 4 have story progression like in sims 3? where neighbour lives marry get old age and die without controlling them?

I'm still not sure why you think you're limited in play style. Suppose I'm fine with you having your playstyle and me having mine, Sims 3 has two settings (you have to adjust them when you enter the neighborhood I think) where you can disable Story Progression and Disable aging. Granted I've never tested to see if they work, but isn't Sims 3 already also supporting your play style? I agree that they need to have all the options in the game, but that brings it back to my original point about Sims 4: By removing that play style they've removed a sizable portion of their player base. Maybe not everyone plays like me maybe not everyone plays like you, but I think we're both a pretty significant chunk.

Sims 3 does the same thing with calling sims to lots you're sim is at, but mostly I'm only there for a second and not with my sim, so not much takes place and that can make the town feel a bit empty. Granted the solution to that is auto generate schedules for sims then call up the schedules when you go over to the lot. Having near by lots loaded by default and district system where you stay in the same cluster of lots would help reduce lag, but generating all that information in the background still might take its toll if you're playing at speed three especially in a short life span where you have to recalculate all that over and over all the time. Easier said than coded I suppose.

Point is EA didn't really meet my expectations with Sims 4, and we haven't even got to the stupid cartoon-style or decreasing traits in favor of sim emotions.
