I don't believe HPPD exists

On a side note, I don't know if any of you have ever experienced this, but if I think about my trips and LSD in general, or read about it for long enough, it's like my "HPPD" gets stronger and more apparent. If I talk about it it's even stronger and more noticeable. If I'm about to take a tab it's like my body and brain knows what's about to happen. I start to feel an odd type of nervousness, and my mouth starts to feel electric. As soon as I put the tabs on my tongue my tongue and entire body get this "energy" like they are hooked up to an electric current. And no I'm not talking about nasty metallic NBOMe taste.

Adrenaline rush brother. I feel it too when I'm about to go out on a date with Lucy, or an actual female Lucy.

As for HPPD

I've been following many journals on neuropsychopharmacology, neurochemistry, and just neuroscience for around 6 years now. I am not saying I am a scientist or something.

When when you take LSD many new neural connections are formed that are slightly different from your usual neural connections, which is why you feel such new experiences and enlightenment. These new wired connections usually felt for only hours or days, however some people these effects lasts for weeks and months. Which is hppd. As for the reason why that happens..

Also, brain chemistry is very complicated and its not just a bunch of neurotransmitters running around looking for some affinity. Most of the receptors for example LSD binds to (all ergotamine and tryptamine angonists) results in chains of results. Whether or not the effects lasts more than it should depends on the brain chemistry of the person, which is usually decided by their genes. Some unluckier users's sensory inputs could not tell the difference between a 5-HT-tryptamine for example and another tryptamine with an Indole on its back.

Another theory on HPPD. Our brain regulated our thoughts by allowing giving many circuits a chance to express themselves otherwise we'd be caught in though loops. Disruptions by LSD on the overall brain chemistry could result in a over firing of the new (miss wired) neurons in networks responsible for sensory input, leading to a much longer lasting visual, audio, overall effects of LSD.

In theory HPPD should wareoff in weeks or month. I am unsure about people who suffer lifelong HPPD.
