Theoretical vs real world speeds....All carriers worldwide boast the theoretical speeds. No Canadian provider has gigabit 5G speeds. It's important to get the equipment to towers and then switch additional bands once more towers are equipped. I don't know if you recall previous rollouts, such as LTE and 3G etc, but the rollouts were exactly the same. It wasn't until LTE-advanced that we started getting the high speeds that we are, the initial LTE version was slow as hell and would often have issues falling back to 3G. It wasn't a great experience. I still the 5G rollout will go much smoother because even falling back on LTE-advanced is fine as the speeds are awesome in urban areas.
