Girlfriendzoned (again)

I think the underlining theme to it all is toxic masculinity. We berate men for crying and showing their emotions, then we also berate them for not crying and showing their emotions?? So which is it?? Having to deal with all of that shit from the get-go, just as young girls are told to essentially be a housewife and do whatever husband says, no wonder they are so shocked to receive platonic affection when society only portrays male/female relationships as just romantic.

I feel like we are in a weird limbo where this generation is totally done with that housewife lifestyle and only men being at the top, but the majority of society still follow old school rules just cause that’s how it’s been, so it’s hard to drown them out and try and change things.

I don’t know what to do OP.....
