Downvoting by a mass of fanatic individuals is deteriorating discussion

Some people wouldn't be enough to turn the general publics opinion imo.

When the law on apartment rentals changed in Denmark so that in a two-room apartment you could only live two people, upwards 5000 somalians moved from Denmark to the U.K in a mass-exodus.

Keep in mind how small this country is, that was a seriously huge percentage of the somali community that just up and left.

When asked by the media they'd say it was because they felt unwelcome, but if that was the case why choose specifically the U.K and not say, Sweden?

Well, as you might imagine the U.K had no such restrictions on apartments and as such they continue to this day to live in such a manner as they did here, but there. Stories like this probably contributing to them leaving the EU.

Anyway in this story its going to be a stretch to call it 'some portion' Denmarks somali community, we had around 25.000 before then and now we have 20.000. 25% left the country specifically so they could pursue better welfare benefits in another country.

And I am fully of the belief that many of the rest of those 20.000 would have moved to the U.K aswell if they had the funds available or had been here long enough.

Had a Somali colleague for a few months a year and a half back when I was in a government work scheme, he was brought here by ways of the reunification policy and had a sister with three kids, her husband was one of the Somalians who left for the U.K and he had planned to do so aswell when he had been in Denmark long enough to be allowed to travel between EU countries, though I can imagine Brexit changed things, I wouldn't know as I haven't seen him since.
