Dual stick in Wisconsin

In old school trucking, twin sticks refer to tractor trailers and large trucks that have a manual transmission with high and low gears. In offroading terms, it's where a truck has two sticks on the transfer case so that you can have front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, or all wheel drive. However in Ranger terms, it's truck with a manual transmission and a manual transfer case. When Ford released the FX4 model in 2002, the manual transmission models came with twin sticks (manual transmission and manual transfer case). They only continued it for a few years on the level 2 model of the FX4s until they had all the trucks use the electronic transfer case. A "twin stick" FX4 Ranger is kind of a rarity that is special to us all.
