Sometimes Reddit communities help me figure my shit out much faster than doctors.I’m not advocating for self diagnosis only. Not at all. But doctors are humans too. They make mistakes, they have bad days, and sometimes they just choose not to listen to you.
It's probably more about how at least 20 or more people saw their comment, thought about it, and gave some advice. At the end of the day, there is strength in numbers. These conditions may be rare enough that doctors only encounter a handful of them in their entire careers. It is unrealistic to expect them to know everything, and maybe this condition was unknown to them or haven't crossed their mind at the time.
