Entry Level Splunk Salary with Clearance

Oh yeah, I just don’t see it the same on this side of the pond (I accept this is entirely off topic).

Some employers certainly value you holding clearance still as it can be £20k odd cheaper to sponsor rather than put someone through it from scratch, but the salaries still never approach what I see Stateside.

I say this as someone who used to hold Developed Vetting, worked for Splunk as an SE and who is trained to Architect. I’ve lost all my certification as I don’t work with Splunk any longer and took more of an InfoSec manager path, but if I lived in the US I’d have stuck with a Splunk path and my salary would surely be tremendous!

Many people here stepping into an InfoSec or CyberSec role as ex mil are looking at entry level roles around £25K up. Unless one has an Int background and is heading into CTI, or a Royal Sigs background, not many walk out of the forces into a role paying anything like what is mentioned in this thread. I’m somewhat jealous (even if salary alone is a poor comparison)!
