Episode 33 - A Tale of Two Fighters

I hate each and everything about affirmative action. I just hate the term. When I hear crap about "there are not enough female programmers." "There are not enough female engineers." It makes my blood boil. People really don't understand the meaning of equality. Affirmative action is bullshit. Meritocracy. Males and females alike in this country go to the same pre schools, same elementary schools, same high schools, have the same guidance counselors to help them pick their courses in high school, have the same access to resources in these high schools for help, have the same access to helpful resources in planning their future education or life decisions after high school, have access to the same universities, have access to the same programs in said universities, have the same access to every other resource in these universities and they make their own decisions. No one grabs anyone by the neck and tells them what to study or pursue. If feminists want society to go out of its way to actually encourage one gender to participate in these "men dominated" fields then that's not equality. That's bullshit. If anything, that's just brainwashing and oppression. Girls can pick to pursue whatever the hell they want to as they should; be it Engineering, Nursing, Veterinarian, Doctor, Pilot, etc. without society encouraging them to pick one thing over another.. As should boys. However, even following their line of thinking you will never see feminists complain about the fact that there are more female nurses than male nurses, or the fact that more men die on the job every year than females. It's like a buffet, you go in and pick and choose all that you like and ignore the parts that you don't. And this is where they take character shots and label you a "misogynist" among other derogatory cliche terms. Classical ad hominem. It seems to work though.
