EU-Turkey Border Crisis Megathread III

TIL that if this sub is representative of a reliable sample size of the EU, no one actually cares about Turkish people themselves as they are continously harrassed and taken insincerely. Most comments I’ve seen are along the lines of “terrorist supporting inhumane all evil group of people” which is just very heart stabbing. I understand that Greece or Bulgaria need not to have such emergency but, I just find the attitude very unidimensional that Turkey has been hosting 3,5 million refugees without getting much support and that wasn’t a crisis, but now there’s a fraction on the doorstep and EU is entitled that Turkey kept the refugees in the first place. You could say whatever about the origins of the refugees blame it on politicians, EU or Turkey or the countries of origin of where the refugees rise from. Hypocritical of this sub that Turkey is a villian and EU is naturally the hero since it’s home. I find it very delusional on this sub’s response to the situation. It is similar to a circlejerk of moral cocaine. The fact of the matter is, there are millions of people and their responsibility can’t be expected to be just assigned to one already disfunctional country in the first place. What was expected anyway ? This was bound to happen. What did Turkey expect too? It is like, politicians already decided they don’t care about the refugees a priori, but were discussing how to keep their doors locked. The entire thing just seems so in denial on EU’s part.

You might not agree with me for valid reasons, but I just think no one really cares about the refugees in the first place. I think EU wants to keep its ethnic identity pure and are blaming Turkey for not protecting them. Analogous to: Turkey is the bodyguards of the rich christian organization in a Purge movie. (Please don’t remove it, I want to hear what people genuinely think)
