Evil biomes

I remember something like this after walking through the openings in a barbed wire fence to explore a rundown farm near some new housing construction behind my neighborhood. This farm was probably the size of a football field and also had many cattle which dropped lots of cow crap in random places while grazing. Another odd thing about this place were some large concrete blocks of rubble which were strewn about near the front of this farmstead as if a building had been blown to smithereens there. Scraps of plastic and aluminum were also scattered in various places over spotty crab grasses which covered this entire farm.

There was even a busted old truck which looked like it was from the 1930’s sitting on a small hill near the edge of the farm and what seemed like a large rusting tractor-plow in the middle. Later on I even went jogging around this rectangular man-made lake in the back of the farm for a couple of days before some guy who watched over the land came up to me a with shotgun then politely told me to leave since he didn’t want this farm’s owner to get mad. Overall, I didn’t really feel the place was evil since I wanted to go back there then draw everything in that area because of the fact I like to sketch things. I also felt a calm but deep sense of connection with this land since it was very peaceful, quiet, and isolated from my neighborhood behind thick patches of brush.

After that guy with the shotgun came up to me I didn’t go back there anymore and can’t go back to the place now even if I wanted to since a freeway overpass is getting built between my neighborhood and that strangely beautiful patch of land ಠ╭╮ಠ. Maybe this landscape is a Native American burial ground, the site of some ancient alien war, or just stuck in a time warp that can’t be reversed. For now, I guess it will all remain a mystery until the freeway being built behind my neighborhood becomes a ruin so future generations can pick up wherever I left off ◕ ◡ ◕.
