Yes, Charles is now at the throne. That's why I think celebrating natural death in general is very pointless - there is no victory in such things. Plague has no affiliation and it is waiting to kill us too. It would be somewhat different if we were in some kind of war and the Queen was shot. When Bolsonaro was shot here in Brazil I wanted him to die, but when Olavo de Carvalho (a Bolsonarist "intellectual) died from COVID I didn't have the same reaction. In the end, it's COVID killing old people, not just a very unpleasant person.

Even in the case of war, I think a mindless celebration of death is counterproductive. War should be an unfortunate duty instead of a vaccation trip. Otherwise, we have the excesses of the French Revolution. There's no shame in celebrating a victory, though.
