For those wanting everything for first aid

CAT tourniquet (genuine) is a patented item and made in USA. It is US military standard and it is saving our soldiers ( stops bleeding and they can get to a surgeon). The bag is Berry compliant and 1000D cordura. So it is US made and tough as can be.

Amazon sells most of the same equipment, but after digging through reviews, I prefer to pay a few bucks more for top of the line gear that isn't a counterfit ( big problem on amazon with a lot of stuff).

I literally ordered a CAT tourniquet+ other items yesterday because I have blood that barely clots at all... so I figure a $30 life insurance option is inexpensive. I had a 1inch long by quarter inch deep puncture on my thumb a while back and had to use Celox to stop it. 20 minutes of pressure + gauze did not stop it. It was just a steady trickle.

So it may be "expensive" , but going cheap on life saving equipment is just asinine in my mind. I do not have enough time for EMS to save my ass so I prepare for self rescue.

I would highly encourage anyone that wants to be medically prepared to at least own a clot patch and a compression badage at a minimum. I have never experienced a situation where I had "too much first aid kit".
