Freaking loving the F1 cars...

Ah sorry! Still pretty new to AC and haven't tried all the cars yet ;) I just bought it in the recent sale.

So, first thing as the others said is lower your Fov. I play with both a wheel and a controller(depending on where I am) and while with the wheel I can't use anything but the 1:1 FOV with a controller you can be more flexible: right now I'm just using a bit less than AC's default, which is around 50 if I don't remember wrong, and that works alright I think.

Secondly, you need to try and learn to be smoother with your inputs: I thought you were playing with a keyboard because of the directness of the steering. I found that controllers are really well supported in AC, so while not as competitive as a wheel, you can still drive well enough and smoothly. What I always give as an advice is to try and think of the joystick as a miniature wheel: instead of doing small little taps like you are doing here now, try to complete the turn with one single smooth motion. To be more precise I always advise(at least that's how I do it on my PS4 controller, I'm not sure if it works on the XBONE's as well) to extend your left middle finger(the one of the hand which is steering) straight under the controller, meeting on the back of it; this gives more stability to the hand and allows for more precise controls.

I noticed AC's default steering for the controller is really sensitive: I find it good enough using my method, since the car is very responsive and doesn't feel like a boat to drive, but my dad for example tried it and really can't do it, so he's had to lower sensitivity. I'd advise not to though, and try to adapt to the defaults.

Finally, once you've mastered the controls, you'll need to start working on your lines: in the video(keep in mind that I'm on mobile rn so I'm talking from memory) I can see you're braking very well(probably got abs on?) but way too early; the trick to have some good lines is to know the track like the back of your hand, of course, and use the most surface possible. Of course there are more advanced techniques which come with experience, but for starters the basic is to approach basically every turn with an outside-inside(at the apex)-outside line. This, coupled with braking at the right points, will make you somewhat competitive, and once you master it you will probably figure out how to approach every "special" corner which doesn't fit this rule by yourself.

I hope this helps, if you want some more tips and maybe drive together sometime just send me a pm and I'll tell you my steam id :) don't want to prolong myself too much on here.

Finally, for the wheel, I'd honestly not recommend the G29: it's a good wheel, but I come from owning a G27 and I've tried it a friend's g29 and honestly there is basically no difference; the 29 is way overpriced in my opinion.

I'd much rather go for a t300 or t150 by thrustmaster, both ps4 compatible, which have got better ffb: the first is just on another level(tried that one as well and was shocked by how realistic it felt) while the t150 is a bit cheaper and has got a ffb which is just a small step up from the g27/29(which is still very good). Only issue with these wheels are the crappy pedals, but they're easily replaceable.
