Not trying to invalidate your experiences since it sounds like you have your hands full with your own MIL. Mine just likes to do these double bind things where she begs us to come over, doesn’t make it a comfortable experience so that we don’t feel like going up there as much, and then she gets the joy of complaining to her friends and family about how she’s such a neglected and unappreciated grandma.
