China says U.S. must ‘take responsibility’ for breakdown in climate ties

The idea that the US is responsible for the pollution of China's manufacturing is among the laziest wu mao arguments I have ever seen gain traction in the broader world. China produces a lot, much to the US and EU, much to surrounding Asian countries, and much for domestic consumption. This production is particularly pollution heavy due to China's poor environmental regulations. Yes, this lack of regulation is to save pennies on dollars at the coat of the environment in our modern system of cutthroat globalized capitalism. A system that China actively participates in by sacrificing its own environment. The problem isn't one nation or another it is systemic and China's pollution due to manufacturing isn't anyone's fault but China's following our current economic incentives.
