I love this article, as even I was unaware to it being a problem having watched all the way through the first 15 games this season. But that's when he was hitting shots and scoring well. As of late, and especially the last few games his shot has struggled majorly, and I can't help but notice he keeps hucking the shots up. Sure he has athleticism to play the entire game, but I do think we could slim it down a bit and perhaps ask him to do more on the boards etc. He is not and has never been the greatest score first player. He should work on learning to play as a piece in an offense and use his athleticism with passing and cutting and then we may be able to see the ball go through the hoop a lot more than we are now. It almost feels like Smitch kind of allows him to iso and doesn't really teach him how that actually stops the ball. It's the same thing that people see going on with the Clippers right now, as blake griffin is also a ball stopper on offense. It is frustrating to see one of the most talented players shoot every time he is double teamed or throw an escape pass to allow the defense to recover. I also speak of this because we have you players such as Karl towns whom just last game I noticed about 5 times there was a Wiggins double team and Karl towns is moving to the open spot but the shot is still taken anyway. Hopefully this article gets out enough and he can take a step back to think about it himself. Having perhaps 4 of the most athletic players in the league in Towns, Wiggins, Shabazz, and Lavine, you have to remember that ball movement is key, because these guys have the stamina and speed to blow by guys through good ball movement. That is what can help make us a championship team. That, and perhaps biting down our grit on defense, because there's 4 players who have potential to slam it down every time we get a turnover in transition. These guys are still young and I am sure they will figure it out. Just glad others are noticing the problems too. Hopefully the players start to get hold of it too and realize to stay within their roles and not have Wiggins take all the shots yet, as Lavine and Towns and Bazz are also very efficient scorers and these shots could be taken more wisely.
