It kinda looks like he got that first internship through his parents, since it's in Beijing.

After a few good summers, none of his full times were at top firms or for much longer than a year so people clearly didn't fall for him.

Which makes sense since his HOD major is widely considered a "how to make good powerpoints" degree at Vanderbilt.

He has a weirdly large amount of blockchain related present positions but I suspect they are all resume fluffers.

Shorewood Ventures is a PO Box with one employee and I suspect his other thing is his parents/friends asking him to buy bitcoins for them so he spun that as a "hedge fund."

The Daily Bit only has 40 or so likes/followers on facebook.

To be fair, this is a pretty typical story. I too was sold on the IB dream during university and ended up in PE FoF so I can totally relate and understand where he's at, but man, his resume is way more engineered than mine is.
