My daughter is the same age as H. She attends a Mothers Day Out program 3 days a week and has since she was 2 years old. We recently did testing for kindergarten and her scores were great as she did everything required except she couldn’t count to 50…she made it to 30. My best friends son is only 4 days younger than my daughter and has never gone to any sort of school or learning center. He also tested for kindergarten and will be placed in an inclusion group bc he is lacking in multiple areas. His name has three letters and he can’t recite the letters nor write them. My friend is angry with me bc my daughter will be in kindergarten 1 which is basically for kids who went to PreK and are on the same level of knowledge. It’s not the child’s fault, it’s the parents. With the teaching background of Alicia and Josh, they know H should be in school and they are setting her up for failure all to earn a buck with content. It’s a shame.
