Hmm

Cervical cancer can spread as can any cancer. As long as the primary tumour is traced back to the cervix, then it is still cervical cancer even if you find traces of it or tumours in local or distant metastasis I.e opening up the stomach and finding cancer there.

If a person found cancerous growth in their stomach and intestines etc and it’s been diagnosed as Cervical cancer - then it is likely an advanced stage cancer, and very possibly a fatal prognosis.

I had stage 3A Cervical cancer, and mine was stage 3 because it had travelled to my abdomen, close to my kidneys and because of the size of the spread (metastasis) and A because it was only in a limited area of spread I.e just near the kidneys, not the liver, bowels, bladder etc.

At stage 3A, you’ve got some chance of being cured. It also depends on if it’s an aggressive type of tumour, what type of tumour, if it’s neuroendocrine and sometimes they can be mixed types too.

If mine had travelled to my stomach, intestines, lungs etc I think that would probably take me to Stage 4?

Once you get past Stage 3B, it’s usually classed as either lifelong management and treatment for prolonging life, or terminal.

It’s strange that she doesn’t state what stage she is at. Most people with cancer will give you the stage because it denotes many different things on how they are feeling, recovery, continuity of life and because that’s what they are focused on.

Having said that - she looks sick. Her face looks similar to people who are sick like this, it looks like when I was sick during treatment.

Advanced cervical cancer can be terminal, but there are a lot of immune treatments and studies that one might be terminal and then be given hope.
