I don’t owe you an explication for how I live my life.
Honestly tho, this is the most fascinating story I’ve ever seen. I’ve been following this “story” now for a long time. Tesla hit a cross section between many of my hobbies. EVs, renewable energy, cars, SpaceX.
I’ve been following this since before I found communities to really discuss it. The yahoo boards were ok, but regretfully I didn’t spend as much time as I should have there. Later I gravitated to seekingalpha, and got to learn a lot more about the business. People really underestimate what that community used to be, and what good research was done in between all the drivel.
Now I frequent here, TSLAQ, the Electrek boards, insideevs boards, teslamotorsclub, and realtesla. I want to see where this is going.
So far this community and TSLAQ are my favorite communities I’ve found. Sadly this community doesn’t generate very much in-depth content, and twitter sucks for long form content.
From my point of view, the bears have a stronger argument and better documentation supporting their thesis.
I’m convinced now Musk has run this into the ground, and I’m glued to the story now. Luckily we have a bunch of good EVs manufactures now, so EV adoption will continue.
I like Tesla, I really do. I think they design, and make great products. But I’m very vocal about my dislike for Musk, and the way he has run this company as his own personal business.
Musk refused to listen to anyone, and ran it into the ground. He hasn’t had his shareholders best interest in mind, and I think it’s catching up to him now. The only thing worse than Musk is the board that has supported him through all of this. I can’t believe there hasn’t been one adult that hasn’t stood up and said they won’t condone his behavior.
After the going private incident, they should have at least forced him to take a sabbatical and docked his pay package.
So here I am, I’m glued to this. I’ll follow this, for how ever long it takes. If things change, maybe I’ll be bullish on them again. If it goes bankrupt, I’ll read every filing and court case I can find. In the mean time, I’ll trade around the events.
So after all that, idk. Not sure I have a “goal”, this is just a hobby. People read way too much into my posting.
(Also the RAV4 EV was the best Tesla ever made ;)
