How are you all doing?

I can actually say a lot about this

It's been a lot easier and also harder than I thought with all of the ups and downs you'd expect.

Socially things have been going overall good. It's been a little tough since I don't live in an all-freshman dorm (I live in a 4 year dorm that's also one of the smallest on campus) but I've met all sorts of really cool people so far and made a lot of friends (even for a quiet guy like me). One thing I noticed is all of the stupid bs that went on in high school is largely absent; for the most part, people are really cool in college. There are snakes and tryhards and fake people and stuff but way less than in high school. There are also pseudo- preformed cliques from people who went to the same high school or the same summer program but that's not a big problem IMO.

I also love the freedom of living on my own. It's been everything I've expected and more, and though I was a little worried last-minute about how things would go, everything has went great. In high school I was a guy who was hyper-independent but had overprotective parents, and now that I've had those restrictions lifted off me, I've thrived.

Academically everything started out pretty easy but the workload and difficulty just kept ramping up every week with no end. At first I was wondering why Penn has such a problem with stress and mental health and stuff, but about a month in and I completely understand it. I'm losing sleep, working 24/7, and I've got midterms coming up. Send help pls (jk but not really). Also, balancing that with clubs is a little tricky too but I think is doable within reason (depends on what clubs and how many)

Tldr: Some good things and some bad things about college, overall I wouldn't go back to high school if you paid me (I'll let y'all know for sure after midterms lol)
