How to grow Flowers from Seed from The Dirty Gardener

Since there's not much action in this "subreddit", I'll start with something new and kinda funky.

I'm not sure if any of you here have watched the video I linked in this "Subreddit" titled Follow The Leader. It's a spoken word poem by a Suli Breaks.

If you did watch, you either thought "WTF?"

Or you might have understood the metaphorical symbolism......

If none of this makes sense to anyone other than I, the funkiest of fae, allow me to explain....

I think, feel, see, hear, witness, and know that Reddit is degrading daily. From the conceptual beginning all through time up to the current now. It's unraveling and spiraling out of control. While many of those that have control are using it to their benefit. Attempting to synthesize the specific message they wish to be seen.

Those still seeking control, are manipulating the systems through many means to get ahold of a piece of the pie. That juicy fresh baked pie piece sold for a premium price.

I'll link the spoken word poetry piece I am referring to by Suli Breaks for you to watch. Then this entire mini-dissertation will make more sense. Maybe?

I will quote certain pieces of the poem and then after, give my personal perceptions of it relating directly to Reddit.

If my formatting is fucked up- so be it and ¿Por Que No?

I hope some of you can converse and offer your insight................

I equate this spoken word poetry piece to be symbolic of Reddit today, and my experiences in many reincarnations of participation. Many facets of definitions truly define Reddit today. Today's Reddit- and not yesterday's almost long forgotten; but remembered by those before today.

And thus begins my metaphorical breakdown of pieces of the poem-

  • Yeah, I feel like it’s a bit of an anti-climax, I mean we had so many talented people here we had so many people do some amazing things. I don’t have that many skills I can’t create different sounds with my voice by pressing different buttons. But what I can do is poetry; I am a spoken word artist.

There have been many amazing people who have contributed to reddit. Day in and day out. I was surprised to be invited to participate here in this sub. I'm a nobody, maybe someone's somebody? But surely I'm not one of the foundational people participating from the roots up to the harvest of today's reddit.

I don't use different accounts simultaneously to create a false reality based around my opinions and likes. But I can speak my voice with symbolic words.

  • Last year was a bit difficult for me if I’m honest, because I was told to talk about democracy I’m not to engaged when it comes to political terms like that and is difficult to find words that rhyme with democracy actually. (Like) Know you have you know is very difficult democracy, biography, couple ocracies, which they wouldn’t approve of in Parliament.

Here I see metaphorically, a breakdown of what's gone awry.

People being told/ directed in ways and told just what to talk about in the past year. Democracy and American politics being a huge player.

Safe spaces and how to "safely speak". Mods being removed or changing Reddit concepts to create this narrative of safety through free speech impeachment and blatant overthrow.

Many subs being removed, quarantined and softened so to say. Was this a bad thing? You tell me?

  • Yes so this year they said I could discuss and talk about leadership and I realized that I actually don’t know that much about leadership as a whole. So everything I’m going to say is my opinion what I think leadership should be will be relevant to some of you may not be relevant some of you, but please don’t come up to me afterwards and give me political statements and manifestos and tell me what’s right and what’s wrong I’m just stating my opinion that’s why I do, “Follow the Leader”.

Here I see a reflection of Reddits main content this year. To discuss and talk about political leadership, mod corruptions, govt leadership, and proposed self leadership. Almost all are speaking passionate opinions, hard facts, and beliefs on reddit about leadership this year in some form. Maybe this creates a wanted chaos effect? Perhaps a divide and conquer tactic? I'm not sure.

The concept of "follow the leader" on Reddit has been increasing daily for years now in so many subjects and so many ways. What if leadership positions are bought and sold like votes?

  • Now I don’t know that much about leadership all I know is that as kids we all wanted to be the ‘red ranger’. Now if you don’t understand a significance of being the ‘red ranger’ I feel very sorry for you. Because it means you were either born way too late to appreciate the birth of one of the world’s greatest legacies or you are born way too early to be born one of the world’s greatest centuries.

This portion has symbolic meaning related to the admins as "Red Rangers". We are reduced to children with the Red Rangers are superiors. Perhaps we've become Green Rangers as mods of Reddit. Or we are Black Rangers as regular subscribers and participants.

  • The first game we ever learnt to play was follow the leader, I always had to make sure I understood the following, my boss always made sure I followed upon everything. My parents taught me how to follow the system, follow religion, follow tradition.

A representation of the hive mind on Reddit. Being shown and taught what's popular, acceptable, liked and appreciated. A way to follow the system accordingly without thinking beyond the boundaries of normalcy.

And if you go beyond those boundaries, you're a downvoted misfit, non conformist, outsider unwelcome, possible conspiracy theorist, anti science, anarchist rebellion, shadowbanned subject, made an example of. For fucks sake that primarily applies to regular users of this website! Mods have many more issues to deal with on many other levels.

How dare you speak your mind!? In comments or link.

Perhaps you're perceived as a crazy person, someone to target and doxx, manipulated and attempt to integrate into the norm. Perhaps your weakness will be to literally sell out. Sell your prized reddit account for $$$$ so that the "TRUTH" can be projected from screen to shiny screen.

There are so many variables. For mods and users of this website.

  • But the world doesn’t need new leaders because leaders come and go; like common colds.

We can easily see how admins / mods of large subreddits are removed and replaced, delete accounts and disappear into thin air.

  • If you ask me the next leader should be a community guided by a common goal. One which everyone who contribute young and old.

This is perhaps the original meaning behind reddit. A subreddit is a community guided by a common subject of interest. Not one lead by a dictatorship of corrupt mods.

Not to say all subreddits are- but IMO many of them have become run by a MOD MAFIA of sorts. And many of those tree roots run deep. Spreading far and wide over time

  • The world doesn’t need new leaders the world needs new ides. Ideas that tell me I don’t have to walk like that or talk like this; that me and you can be different; because listen to this and this is wisdom people die but ideas live forever.

We don't need more oversight, more rules, more "safe spaces", and more mods to correct the problems here on Reddit.

WHAT DO WE NEED?
