How do you Jungle in Season 7?

rofl. New jungle is heavily overtuned, and most high elo players are begging to jungle every game due to how simple it is in its current state if played properly. It is overtuned because of some simple reason. - You can do a semi-cheesy lvl 3 gank if started red side - Powerfarming will net you as much, if not more gold and exp than a solo lane. - Meta junglers can full clear, be higher level and have more gold than laners, then have tjme to gank, without any punishment because of how the new jungle respawn timers work. - In season 6, if you spend time ganking, the potential for counterjungling is high if you are playing against people who know what they are doing. In s7, as I said above, it is incredibly difficult to punish a meta jungler who have strong clears when they gank.

PLEASE REMEMBER - that when playing jungle, ganking is NOT what you focus on. Jungle is like another lane. You are still playing against another person in the jungle. I cannot emphasize how important farming is in this seasons jungle. Here are some tips.

I thought I might also touch on meta vs nonmeta junglers in s7 and this current meta.

Meta junglers clear healthily and fast, allowing them to have downtime after clears, allowing time for ganks without losing jungle exp and gold.

Nonmeta junglers have slower clears, are vulnerable to counterjungling, do not have as healthy clears as meta junglers, therefore do not have time after clearing to gank, or else they risk their camps being taken by the enemy jungler while they gank, and if the gank is unsuccessful, they set themselves far, far behind.

Tips in s7 jungle

  • DO NOT simply walk past camps to gank (unless you absolutely need to countergank). Ganking is unreliable and as you climb, you will realize that farming will always be better than excessive ganking. As a jungle main, I see ganking as cheesy. They will not always work. Will ganking always result in a kill? No. Will farming always result in more gold and exp? Yes.
  • In contrast, as I said above, jungling with meta junglers is powerful due to the effective clear speeds of junglers and the fact that you CAN gank, without losing any exp and gold from your jungle. You are getting the best of boths worlds essentially, playing a strong jungler in this meta.

Take Graves for example. If you want to gank bot but also full clear, (which you can because of how fast your clears are), you path from top to bot, which then you will have double buffs, and all your jungle is clear. You proceed to gank bot. Multiple scenarios can happen, these are two. - You get a double kill, push the lane and proceed to continue on your way, or consider getting drag or bot tower. - You get bot summs. Nothing else much happens.

Both scenarios are fine. You didn't lose anything, because your clear speeds beat the new jungle respawn timers. This is why jungling is essentially busted in its current state. You lose nothing, for massive gain. Going back to the meta vs nonmeta, this is also why non meta junglers are bad. Because they cannot afford to gank after clearing, because they have little to no downtime, and can be punished heavily for failing a gank.

Seeing as I wrote this much, I'll add some jungle routes.

Routes (one side, mirror to other side if you start on red side, all my examples will be blue) - Blue - Gromp - Wolves - Raptors - Red - Golems - Gank (double buff full clear gank) - Blue - Gromp - Wolves - Red - Gank (lvl4? I think, double buff gank.) - Red - Golems - Gank (this is one of the most powerful routes and used the most. It allows you to get lvl3 through 2 camps, and you can gank a lane that is only lvl1-2 if your clears are fast) All this is coming from a Silver 1 jungle main. I think I have a decent understanding of the current state of s7 jungle, however I am still learning how to apply my own knowledge haha.

Have a good day all.
