As just a dude ... one out of many .. My experience tells me that going for the slow burn as in lots of talking and no sexual escalation is a sure way to run into a "You're a great guy, but ... " rejection.

Too many guys don't really know their way around women and are therefore so lonely that they're trying to box in any girl as their GF. Getting lumped in with those guys is the last thing you want.

So loose and relaxed attitude .. Go up close and personal in conversation .. If it's fun and she is enjoying herself then escalate away.

Just never come of as pushy or needy. Offer it in a matter of fact way .. Here I am, you're welcome if you want and if not then no problem, life goes on! ... But as you can see .. I offer the good stuff :D (A big smile, sense of humor and a good dose of playfulness is recommended)

The process of getting her naked shows you have experience. After ways you clearly signaling that she is free to move on really drives home that you're not desperate or needy.

Most relationships start like this for run of the mill guys:

Chemistry/fun -> sex -> ??? -> more sex -> relationship

Took me a good deal of my 20s to realize this and I struggled until then. After that .. Well getting initial interest and a date is still not easy, but once she sits in front of you it goes well more often than not.
