Online dating and disabilty

I’m sorry this happened to you. While no way comparing my experience, I’m a type 1 diabetic and one time did have a guy unfriend after I messaged him. I found he liked me again on another app years later (he probably forgot or the previous app I was using didn’t have my picture) but I messaged him that “you stopped talking to me once when I mentioned I have type 1 diabetes so I hope you learned how to not be ableist” LMAO. He blocked me of course and didn’t accept the message. Anyway, I come from a culture where we do biodatas as well and people have mentioned my illness upfront. I’ve come to realize I don’t like it and it makes me dislike the dating app/biodata process because I feel like a robot and not like a person worthy of value. In day to day life, nobody thinks of me as a diabetic girl. So I personally don’t list it on apps and just mention it in passing when I talk to guys, but its up to you honestly what you feel will make you feel comfortable in the process.
