We also have government-subsidized utility bills, and each utility company is required to disclose to each consumer how much they 'saved' thanks to government policy.

Oh, and they reduced unemployment benefits to 3 months, because they want a society "built on labour" (look at how the country got rebuilt after WW2, when being unemployed was illegal).

The audience is our largest politically active age group (those born in the mid-50s - when abortion was illegal - and their kids born in the mid-70s who tend to be nostalgic about their youth and the simplicity of communist era, but also hate communists for fucking up the country and serving foreign interests.

Orbán satisfies them by using strong nationalist rhetoric while implementing some familiar socialist era policies. We are taken care of like "in the good old days", but he's doing it for us and not foreign interests, unlike "in those cursed old days". Yeah...
