First, I think it is highly unlikely we’d be able to get a player like Guimaraes for Hazard. Newcastle don’t need to sell, and Bruno is one of their best players. Add to that the fact that Hazard is unlikely to want to go to Newcastle—if he goes back to the Prem, he’ll want to go back to Chelsea—I don’t see either transaction (Bruno leaving or Hazard going there) happening.

Second, between Guimaraes and Tchouameni, I prefer Tchoua by a long, long way. Tchoua is only 22 years old and already has made more tackles and interceptions combined (170) than any other player in Europe's top 5 leagues this season. For comparison, Casemiro has a combined 108 tackles and interceptions this season in La Liga. Tchouameni is already so, so good, and his potential is through the roof. He is a young player that we can gradually transition into a more prominent role (as we have with Camavinga), and he’s a Madrid fan on top of it.

Even assuming we’d be able to get Bruno, which I doubt but let’s assume, I still prefer Tchoua.
