Is Indonesia on the verge of capitalism?

This question is somewhat reflects on some lack of throughout understanding about what are we actually doing today within nowadays (indonesian) society. I don't claim that I know more so bear with me.

There's nothing as "on the verge" of it. Also capitalism is not something that "adopted", but rather evolved parallel within the emerge of modern civil society, the development of the system of modern markets, and changing of the base of economic system. The main characteristic of capitalism is the decline of old, classic mercantilism into focusing entirely on private property system, wage labor, established price system, competitive markets, and the solvent of capitalism: voluntarism—which is the central mover of voluntary exchange.

After all, it seems that these social system is inevitable. It has such quality because capitalism has some correlations with democracy. Although it's a contentious area, the extension of universal adult male suffrage in 19th cetury on some place of the world occurred along with the development of industrial capitalism. It's the same time as democracy became widespread at the same time as capitalism, leading capitalists to posit a causal or mutual relationship between them.
