Inquiry into making a font for the first time

First of all, "trying to find a Mac you could use" is not "go buy a mac machine just to run glyphs"

But it means just that. I don't see how to construe this any other way.

I'm not saying PC apps in general are antiquated, but that most font apps other than Glyphs, IMO, are - both on Mac and PC (plus I did correct myself before you commented saying FontLab in fact does now have the newer features in question, and you know that.)

Wtf has other apps have to do with anything? OP specifically asked about font development and the apps in question are updated and upgraded. You clearly wanted to make a point that apps on PC were antiquated. It's not true but somehow you've come to realise its not may be the case.
