This song was just released today on a Local Radio show and it was written by Jason "Jbird" Pennington. It has a great backstory and I thought I would share it.
Jason is part of the KVJShow. It's a hillairous laid back morning show with 3 people who don't take themselves too seriously. It's basically like watching a train wreck happen on air but at the same time it is very entertaining well put together... things just happen to break a lot. He is one of the nicest most kind hearted people I have ever listened/ had the pleasure to talk to. He is a child at heart and is obsessed with snack food and bigfoot.
He gave up his kidney his he best friend, and when asked if he was scared he responded saying that he was scared that he wouldn't be a match. He is a HUGE Billy Joel fan and when he finally came to town instead of going to see him in concert, which he always wanted to do, he honored his commitment to go to a younger fans birthday party instead of going to see Billy Joel. text + video
Anyways, Jason dated a girl years ago and he has said that she was the right person at the wrong time. He lost his mother Mothers Day Songwho he was very close with, and he had some rough times. After that his best friend got sick and that is when he donated his kidney. He didn't think he should be dating anyone at that time because it wouldn't be fair to him so they mutually went their separate ways.
When they were dating she always asked him to write her a song, but he never got around to doing it. Jason is usually known for his goofy songs, whether it be Mountain Dew Gansta - NSFW, Flat Booty Girls or songs about snack foods ect... but he doesn't really sing love songs. When they broke up he finally wrote a song for her called "I finally wrote your song", but it was to late at the time. Years later which was months ago they finally started talking and got back together. He finally had the chance played it for her. Here it is :)
