Jobs on Campus

Perhaps the easiest campus job to get is the Georgia Newspaper Project. My interview was literally a tour of the place and then the supervisor asking me if I wanted the job. But beware: it sucks. It is literally hours of doing the same thing over and over and over. You will get your hands covered in ink. Also, there are a lot of weird, arbitrary rules. You can't have food or your phone (but people sneak them anyways). You have no freedom of choice over your tasks. You can only get a break if you work more than 4 consecutive hours, and it's 10 minutes. And you can't talk. To anyone. At all.

The plus side is that it's ultra convenient. It's in the main library. It's incredibly easy, too. No skill required. You can listen to music during some tasks, but not all. They're also super lenient about scheduling. They never deny a request to have shift off. I have literally called in 30 minutes before a shift and they didn't care. One of my coworkers didn't even show up one day and they never said anything.

So it's an option, but just be warned that it can be pretty fucking awful.
