Rosberg/Hamilton incident analysis with Ant Davidson

  1. The video you linked is at Austin. It is probably the worst example you could have chosen given that that might be the widest corner in all of F1, next to t1 at Spa. Rosberg still has half the track to go before he needs to turn in but he turned in before that and hit Hamilton there. The difference being that Hamilton was either going off the track or he had to turn to make the corner in the most recent incident at Austria.

  2. I agree with the sentiment that it isn't okay for one driver to do it but not another, but I can counter that argument with this: It doesn't matter who is doing it, be it Vettel, Hamilton, Rosberg, or anyone else. Whomever is on the inside, they are not going to ever get punished unless the guy on the outside stays in it. If the guy on the outside stays in it (like Hamilton at Austria,) then the guy on the inside will be at fault and penalized. If they back out, then it'll be "just racing." Is this fair? No, I don't really think so. But at the end of the day, if someone squeezes someone and the guy backs off, it'll just be seen as a racing incident.
