John Choi SF legend with legendary footsies, who also cleanly beat Daigo's Evil Ryu in a Ryu vs E. Ryu textbook footsies fireball matchup at Evo 2k14 in SF4 says , "SF5 is better than SF4"

  • Street Fighter 5 has almost universally negative or negligible perception with casual audiences. Stream viewers, tournament attendance and online presence is dropping continuously, and struggles even to match the popularity of Ultra Street Fighter 4 in viewers and online presence only 8 months into it.

  • The game was released as a $60 beta and 8 months later is still unfinished with tons of bugs, graphical glitches, an incomplete UI, and technical issues, with no communication from Capcom as to when or if they will be fixed.

  • The added 8f input lag inherently lessens the ability to react in the neutral and makes the game more random, and aside from a small fix for input lag for controllers and sticks and/or turning off vsync on PC, we still have no idea when this will be fixed.

  • The game's balance is horribly skewed towards the top 6-7 characters (characters with 3f jabs, invincible reversals, strong neutral, powerful/inexpensive VTs, more versatile movesets, etc) with the bottom part of the cast lacking many of the same basic tools to compete in tournaments. Chun, Shotos, Karin, Necalli, Cammy and Nash tend to dominate most events and top 8s. Player diversity is weak across the board with many characters being under-represented as a result.

  • The game is simple to the point where there is little if any advanced tech to be found due built-in limitations to meta and playstyle homogenization across the board.

  • Capcom seems to fuck up everything they do concerning the maintenance of this game while continuously ignoring or having no fix for known problems that have existed since the betas, their communication on these issues is terrible, and they even went as far as installing a fucking rootkit on PC users' computers, putting thousands of people at risk just to protect their secondary revenue stream against a very small % of their userbase that cared enough to even do it in the first place. And that's not even a full list of what's wrong with Street Fighter 5.

Explain how Street Fighter 5 is a well-made, popular and successful game.
