That is probably because you did not play the game long enough. For instance, I really liked Agent of Mayhem at first, and I could not understand all the hate for it. But after 50+ hours into the game, I can safely say now that the game is very repetitive and quickly growing old. Well, the same goes for this reboot. You probably just need more time to realize that some people might be right. But again, that also depends on your mood and patience for a game. Some people really do not mind how repetitive a game can be. I have a friend who bought Call of Duty Modern Warface and straight-up went for the multiplayer mode and nothing else. He still plays it today, every day for the past 13 years. I have no idea how he does it but some people do.
