Kemba Walker will be back tonight!

Yes, Rose and Butler and Gibson are all coming back. This Chicago Tribune article is behind a firewall, so I'll cut and paste:

The Bulls will try to end a three-game skid Wednesday night against the lowly 76ers. But as usual, injuries dominated the discussion at the morning shoot-around.

The difference this season is that Derrick Rose, Jimmy Butler and Taj Gibson all are expected to return before season's end.

Butler and Gibson traveled and are "getting closer," according to coach Tom Thibodeau. Rose remained in Chicago, where "he'll ramp (his rehab) up a little bit," Thibodeau said.

The Bulls are 3-5 since Rose went down and ultimately underwent arthroscopic right knee surgery. Gibson sprained his left ankle the same day Rose had surgery on Feb. 27. Butler tore a ligament in his left elbow two days later.

They are 2-3 without three of their top players. Thibodeau said it's possible Butler could return earlier than the three- to six-week timeline presented at the time of his injury.

Rose created a firestorm of opinion when he refused to definitively state he'd return in the four- to six-week timeline estimated for his absence.

"I think oftentimes people try to read too much into it," Thibodeau said. "He’s doing fine. He’s on schedule. If everything goes well, it should work out fine. That’s basically what he’s trying to say. The guy has been through a lot. You just have to let him work his way through it.

"He’s in a good place. He knows this is a much shorter rehab. The two previous injuries required a lot of time. And he knew that. This one is a lot different. If everything goes as planned, it should work out fine."

Rose is doing conditioning work on the stationary bike and also in the pool. He has begun spot-shooting without jumping, though that should be cleared later this week.

Gibson, who has sprained his left ankle twice and right ankle once, donned practice gear but said he merely aimed to participate in the walkthrough portion of the shootaround. Gibson said his sprained ankle caused a bone bruise.

"I’m making progress but this one is tough, just re-injuring the same one, just trying to push through," Gibson said. "It’s rough seeing my guys out there battling. I just gotta be smart because it’s a lot more painful than the first one.

"Basically you’ve got to start all over again, just trying to strengthen it. There’s a lot of ice. But because the bones kind of hit and that’s real painful, so basically right now just trying to get the pain away from that area. When it’s a bone bruise, those tend to take a long time, but they know how I am. I’m trying to push it, but it’s just frustrating to see those guys out there."

Gibson said his goal is to return for regular-season action to develop a rhythm for the playoffs.

"I’ve played through pain all year," he said. "Everybody on my team knows that Taj doesn’t really like sitting out dates that I’m supposed to sit out, and even my teammates are telling me, ‘Just be smart, we need you for the right time.’ But I’m no slouch. I play through pain.

"This one is far beyond just playing through pain. I really need it strong and keep away from another injury because this thing just keeps happening. I have to be smart."
