Here's the thing people either forget about KMTTP, or are too young to know (like this guy in the video)

KMTTP didn't really stand out as outrageously terrible at the time, because nearly all '70s TV was incredibly cheesy. Especially TV movies. Nobody remembers what the movie of the week was the week after KTTMP, but odds are it would look almost as goofy if seen today.

I watched KMTTP the night it first aired and I don't recall thinking there was anything wrong with it. Sure, this is partly because I was a kid that worshiped KISS and though they could do no wrong. But it's also because I was a typically TV-addicted '70s kid and would watch any garbage that came on the screen. Because that's all there was.
