Zubat is the immortal, its final evolution showing up in a plethora of winning teams, on plaques and in writing for eternity.

Zubat is the 41st Pokemon, but the 1st commandment; it holds power over the ordering of the world, and often presents itself very early on to any player.

Zubat has the sixth sense; according to its Pokedex entry, it can use ultrasonic waves to navigate and see where no human ever could.

Zubat is the unseen, in dark caves with its blue and purple camouflaging shade, and in the sunlight with its yellow and green shiny form.

Zubat is capable of empathy the likes of which humans will never achieve, physically changing its shape and form in response to friendship with another.

Zubat is blind to the mundane and the unholy (and for that matter, to anything else at all).

Zubat is ungrounded by the physical realm, and any attempt to subvert Zubat with a ground attack will dissipate right through its powerful skin.

Zubat is forgiving, but conniving; defeating one will increase your speed, and absolutely nothing else, so that you may exit quickly and the rest of the colony may live in peace.

Zubat is mind-controlling; it can cause a single person to undergo a surprisingly in-depth miniature research project just to receive a sixteen-digit sequence of alphanumeric characters.
