Let's not be too unfair to book fans...

I feel like I can't discuss fully in a thread because of the super strict moderation, but they fundamentally changed the role of Rand, Perrin, and Matt vs. the books. This is like making Perrin the Ring-Bearer vs. Frodo.

Also I'll go ahead and flash my lefty credentials but the "men are stupid and ineffectual" trope was amped up to a point of ridiculousness in the last episode.

As pointed out by others wilders and novices could not have held back the Trolloc army the way they did. That was a huge change from the way the power works in the books.

By killing Uno, Masema, and Ingtar they just anounced loud and clear that they're skipping book 2 completely. I bet the next time we see Rand will be where he is near the end of Book 3, and at that point none of the protagonists plots will have advanced any while we have five more hours of useless throwaway new characters :(

Sorry I'm pissed and a bit emotional about it. I really tried hard to defend the series, and I did like a lot of the changes. I thought Nyn and Lan's relationship in the show was way better than in the books. I love Rosumand as Moiraine. But they're doing my boys wrong, and that's not right.
