I've met a bunch of girls who are into it too, and honestly just grosses me out. I used to like this also and I equate it with feeling like I needed to perform for my partner always (instead of focus on my own feelings) and wanting them to actually care about me as a whole person, which was startlingly rare. So I fantasized about getting regular praise which is kind of the bare minimum for an enjoyable relationship.

Now I'm older, I demand more and am much less insecure, much more confident stating boundaries, and confident about what I need and asking for it. It took a long time to get here but once I did it felt so good not wasting my time with people I didn't actually like.

If you love someone you want to make them feel good all the time, and it goes both ways. Replace "good girl" with "wow, you're so competent", "you kicked ass!", and "you always look so amazing, gorgeous" and see how it feels, is all I'm getting at.
