Locally produced meat vs. imported vegan products

As far as produce is concerned? It is true that it takes fossil fuels to import and export produce from other countries, but to claim that makes a vegan diet harmful is pretty misleading.

Vegans and vegetarians aren't the only groups of people that consume fruits, veggies and nuts etc. If someone eats meat and only meat, I can see their argument, but you can't survive on just that... they're consuming the same produce we are for a well balanced diet. It's important to try to source your food locally (like farmers markets)..but that goes for everyone not just vegans Many vegans are environmentalists and do their best to support green energy and lower their footprint. Right now Tesla is working on an electric tractor trailer that would greatly reduce environmental impact! At the end of the day, we can simply change what we are able to control on a personal level. Not supporting factory is within our realm of control and going to farmers markets for local food, support the change for green energy which will be a positive impact for the environment.

But seriously, anyone that says "your diet isn't perfect, so that makes it invalid" is really grasping at straws
