Looking for a good starter pedal steel

Can’t comment on that GFI (it’s a good brand though, looks aside) but definitely look for a used pro mode. They’re so mechanical that some of the cheaper student models may give you a lot of head ache. I’ve only been playing for 2 years, and am already on my 3rd pedal steel. I found a like new Carter D-10 with amp and volume pedal for only $3000 CDN ($2400 US) a few months ago. There’s definitely some deals out there, and if you buy used you can resell it for what you paid. It’s unlikely your first pedal steel will be you final instrument. The guys on the forum are a great resource and the most used steels sold in the world go through the forum.
