Even if the majority are peaceful, it is the job of the police to stop violent protests. However, I do understand that there are poorly trained cops who contribute to violence and it is important to stop them.

Violence is used by the police to stop criminals. Use of violence by civilians is generally against the law. Use of violence by the police is necessary in some situations, like apprehending a criminal.

To make people less violent, containing the situation by possible force might be necessary. SHOCKER protests that don't start violently usually don't escalate.

The amount of money towards ARMING police is mostly necessary. Please explain what you mean by decreasing the amount of money needed to arm police. They still need standard equipment, and for riots, they need shields. Rubber bullets are used mostly for animal control/riots. If anything, training should be reinforced. Only an inexperienced and panicked officer would shoot multiple times and cause someone to die. I agree with you that those officers should be punished.

I genuinely support the black lives matter movement, but I think the protests should be conducted more peacefully, and I understand that many of them do and it is the officer who is a fault. However, I think that the movement should focus on the stereotypical statistics as well as racial conflicts. For example, 53% of murders in the U.S. in 2013 were blacks killed by blacks. I can state my sources if you like. I support the idea of protests and blm, but in some violent situations, I feel like the police may just be doing their job, though that is not the case many times. I know I probably sound very offensive at this point, and I apologize, and I would just like to say again that I support the black lives matter movements.
