Both the Narcos series on netflix are completely done by native actors to the countries and are subtitled decently well in many languages. I’ve come to appreciate knowing enough spanish now to pull way more meaning out of what the characters are saying that isn’t represented by the english subtitles. Narcos México was an amazing show even in english.

fair warning as a C1 who grew up around native mexican spanish - NM could be a good idea but is heavily accented with dialects from around the whole country and the characters use a LOT of slang. it was an amazing show overall and equally amazing for learning spoken spanish but it could be a terrible idea if your still trying to learn some of the rules.

i’ve yet to watch the Colombian version.
