Luis Scott-Vargas does not like Lantern Control.

The deck is a 'prison' conttol deck that puts an opponent in a lock they cant escape (hence prison), and then proceeds to win by slowly milling the opponent out - all the while keeping near perfect information of what the opponent is drawing so they cant draw any outs.

One of the deck's main pieces is a cheap artifact called [[Lantern of Insight]] that let's you see the top card of your opponent's deck, and potentially shuffle it away This, combined with various mill artifacts, and spell recursion, (called 'rocks') can establish the lock, and allow a skilled user to inevitably take the game. The deck requires a lot of concentration to recognise actual threats to your game plan and only allow your opponent t to draw dead cards.

Creatures are held in check by [[Ensnaring Bridge]], and artifact hate kept in check by [[Academy Ruins]] and [[Surgical Extraction]]. The deck is very interesting to play and watch, and excruciating to play against.

Maybe a bit too in depth a reply, but I have to do something while drinking my pre work coffee :)
